We Start by Believing

UHS has adopted Start by Believing, a public awareness campaign designed to improve response to sexual assault in our communities.

Each person's reaction to a disclosure of sexual assault can be the first step in a long path toward justice and healing. But too often, survivors who have the courage to tell someone what happened are blamed for bringing it on themselves. 

Knowing how to respond is critical, so UHS staff have received training to Start by Believing.

Immunization Records

New students are expected to complete the U-M immunization form at least 30 days before classes start and learn about recommended immunizations. This page provides needed information. 

Important Health Information for New U-M Students

Please read this important health information from University Health Service.  

As a new student, you are expected to:

  • Complete the U-M immunization form by August 1, 2015 and learn about recommended immunizations
  • Consider purchasing the U-M Domestic Student Health Insurance Plan if you are uninsured
  • Learn how health care and wellness resources work on campus
