In spring 2005, the UM Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Program was awarded a Federal Department of Education grant to
decrease the excessive use of alcohol on campus by partnering with the Ann Arbor community. Funding was for a two year time period,
spring 2005-2007. These funds were awarded to assist in building a stronger grassroots partnership between the UM campus and City of
Ann Arbor, with a broad representation involved in leadership and strategic planning.
A2C3 (Ann Arbor Campus Community Conversations) was formed in December 2005 and continues to meet
monthly.
