Stay in the Blue: It's All about Planning your Party
Don't drink? You're already Staying in the Blue!
If you drink, check this out. "Staying in the Blue" is all about keeping your
BAC (blood alcohol concentration) at levels that get you
what you want from alcohol (relax, easier to socialize, less inhibited dancing, etc.) instead of getting you the things
that you don't want (regrets, hangovers, black-outs, puking on your date, etc.).
Pick up a wallet-sized BAC card at UHS Health Promotion and Community Relations (suite 2110, second floor) to use as
a guide.
Use these gender-specific BAC cards by estimating:
Your weight
How long you plan to drink (number of hours)
The number of drinks you plan to have or the BAC you'd like to keep (at or under .06 to Stay in the Blue)
Another tool to help you Stay in the Blue is
e-CHUG (electronic Check Up to Go). It's a personalized,
confidential assessment that lets you see how your drinking compares to others your age and the general adult population,
tests your knowledge of campus norms and gives your typical and peak BAC levels.
