Specialty Clinics
Location, telephone and hours vary. Visits with specialists are available by appointment only.
Services: Most health problems can be addressed through our medical clinic, Women's Health Clinic and ancillary services. However, if one of our clinicians determines that you need more specific treatment, you may be referred to a specialist at UHS.
Types of specialty clinics at UHS:
- Audiology for hearing problems -- temporarily unavailable
- Dermatology* for skin problems
- Ear, Nose and Throat
- Neurology for problems with nervous system and brain
- Psychiatry* for psychological assessments and referral (see also Mental Health Services at UHS)
*Available only to currently enrolled UM students and Prepaid Plan members
Referral required: You must have a referral (written consultation request) from a UHS clinician to visit a specialist. To visit a UHS clinician, Schedule an Appointment.
Eligibility and fees to visit specialty clinics: Currently enrolled UM students can visit a specialist with no additional fee. To check others' ability to visit a specialist, call the UHS Managed Care/Student Insurance Office at 734-764-5182 or toll-free at 866-368-0002.
