Services:  The Managed Care/Student Insurance Office staff assist clients who have:

• Premier Care
• GradCare
• Domestic Student Health Insurance Plan
• UM International Student/Scholar Health Insurance Plan
• Tuition Refund Insurance
• Travel Abroad Health Insurance

We assist with:

• Processing claims
• Obtaining referrals
• Explanation of insurance benefits
• Other facilities' billing
• Processing referrals and scheduling appointments outside UHS

Student Health Insurance Committee (SHIC) is chaired by the Managed Care/Student Insurance Office. SHIC provides an affordable yet comprehensive health insurance plan (see Domestic Student Health Insurance Plan) and addresses domestic health insurance issues on campus. Interested students are encouraged to participate. See Student Health Insurance Committee.

Need insurance?  Students should have health insurance for services not covered by the health service fee. If you don't have insurance, consider purchasing the Domestic Student Health Insurance Plan. See also:
