UM INTERNATIONAL STUDENT/VISITING SCHOLAR HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN (Policy #711146)

The Chickering Group is now known as Aetna Student Health

 

Eligibility All University of Michigan international students, visiting scholars and their dependents are eligible for and required to enroll in this plan unless they have health insurance that meets the University's minimum requirements. US citizens, work visa holders, and permanent residents (Green Card holders) are not eligible for this plan.

How this plan works with University Health Service Insurance pays for most covered medical services received at UHS which are not covered by the health service fee. For non-enrolled students and eligible dependents, services are billable to the insurance on a fee-for-service basis at UHS.

To enroll, students and visiting scholars must visit the UM International Center on central campus. See contact information below.
